Merben Music was established by Jamie Meredith in 2001. After completing his music degree in 1994, Jamie travelled the world as a professional musician, playing on many a Carribean cruise liner before settling in Crewe!

It was during his time as a instrumental teacher in Crewe and surrounding areas that he noticed the lack of a decent music shop for his pupils to get instruments and music books and on the 18th August 2001 Merben Music opened its doors on Nantwich Road in Crewe.

6 years later and we had outgrown our Nantwich Rd site so we relocated to our current shop on Hightown. Our new building was an Indian restaurant when we first saw it but after a few months of very hard work our new shop was ready and we opened in September 2007.

In addition to being the face behind Merben Music, Jamie also delivers the brass lessons drawing on his many years experience as both a performer & conductor and can be seen regularly conducting local brass bands and ensembles.
